Fuel Grade

  • Premium Fuel Recommended: For most Lincoln models, including SUVs and larger sedans, premium fuel with a minimum octane rating of 91 is recommended.
  • Why Premium? Premium fuel has a higher octane rating, which means it can withstand higher compression before detonating, protecting the engine from potential damage.
  • Exceptions: The 2023 Lincoln Corsair can run on regular unleaded gasoline, but premium is recommended for optimal performance.
  • Lincoln does not have a preferred fuel brand recommendation.
  • Potential Risks of Using Regular Gasoline: Using regular gasoline in a Lincoln designed for premium fuel could lead to engine knocking, reduced power, and decreased fuel efficiency.
  • Lincoln models that require premium gasoline:
  •  2023 Lincoln Aviator, Nautilus, and Navigator.
  • Recommended Fuel: Regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87.
  • Do Not Use:
  • Diesel fuel
  • Fuel with more than 15% ethanol (e.g., E85)
  • Fuels containing methanol or metallic-based additives
  • Leaded fuel (prohibited by law)

  • Fuel Tank Capacity: 20.2 gallons (76.5 liters).
