Troubleshooting Infotainment System / Frozen Screen



  • Restart the system by turning the ignition off, opening the driver’s door, and waiting for the screen to shut off before restarting.
  • Perform a hard reset by holding the power and seek buttons for a few seconds.

Bluetooth Not Connecting

Device malfunction:

  • Turn your phone’s Bluetooth off and on.
  • Restart your phone and try again.

Cable or connection issue:

  • Ensure your USB/Bluetooth connection is secure.
  • Use a manufacturer-recommended cable if using USB.

Incorrect settings:

  • Make sure your phone is

CarPlay / Android Auto Not Working

Device not detected:

  • Make sure the USB cable is properly connected.
  • Try using an Apple-certified or high-quality USB cable.
  • For wireless CarPlay, ensure Wi-Fi & Bluetooth are enabled.

Software issues:

  • Restart the infotainment system.
  • Restart your phone and ensure the latest software updates are installed.

Settings issue:

For Apple CarPlay:

  • Go to Settings > Apple CarPlay > Enable.

For Android Auto:

  • Go to Settings > Android Auto > Enable.

Lane Keep Assist Not Functioning

System disabled:

  • Press the Lane Keep Assist button on the turn signal stalk to enable it.

Speed is too low:

  • Lane Keep Assist activates above 40 mph (64 km/h).

Camera blocked or dirty:

  • Clean the windshield area near the rearview mirror.

Poor lane markings:

  • The system may not work in areas with faded, obstructed, or missing lane markings.

Driving conditions:

  • Heavy rain, fog, or glare from sunlight can impact performance.

Power Liftgate Not Opening

Vehicle not in Park (P):

  • The liftgate will not open if the car is not in Park.

Battery voltage too low:

  • If the battery is weak, the liftgate may not function.

Obstacle detected:

  • Remove any objects blocking the liftgate.

Faulty power system:

  • If the liftgate starts to close immediately after opening, there may be excessive weight on it, or the liftgate struts may be failing.

How to Open the Liftgate:

  • From the dashboard button.
  • Press the key fob button twice.
  • Use the outside liftgate button (near the rear camera).

Parking Brake Won’t Release

Manual Release:

  • Turn the ignition ON.
  • Press and hold the brake pedal.
  • Push the parking brake switch DOWN.

Automatic Release:

  • Close the driver’s door.
  • Shift into Drive (D) or Reverse (R).
  • Press the accelerator pedal.

Battery issues:

  • If the battery is dead, connect jumper cables to provide power.

System malfunction:

  • If the red warning light stays on, get the system checked by a dealer.
