Troubleshooting Infotainment System / Frozen Screen
- Soft Reset: Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons for about 10 seconds.
- Hard Reset: Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then reconnect.
- Check for Updates: Go to Settings > System Updates on the Uconnect screen.
- Factory Reset: Navigate to Settings > Reset > Restore to Factory Defaults.
Bluetooth Not Connecting
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Remove old pairings from both Uconnect & your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Restart both your phone and Uconnect system.
Try pairing again:
- Press “Phone” > “Add Device” in Uconnect.
- Select “Uconnect” from your phone’s Bluetooth list.
- Confirm the pairing code.
CarPlay / Android Auto Not Working
- Use a high-quality Apple-certified (for CarPlay) or OEM USB cable.
- Try switching USB ports (Jeep Sahara typically has multiple USB ports).
- Restart both your phone & Uconnect.
Ensure CarPlay/Android Auto is enabled:
- Go to Settings > Smartphone Connection and check if it’s enabled.
For Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, enable Wi-Fi & Bluetooth on your phone and reconnect.
Lane Keep Assist Not Functioning
System disabled:
- Press the Lane Keep Assist button on the turn signal stalk to enable it.
Speed is too low:
- Lane Keep Assist activates above 40 mph (64 km/h).
Camera blocked or dirty:
- Clean the windshield area near the rearview mirror.
Poor lane markings:
- The system may not work in areas with faded, obstructed, or missing lane markings.
Driving conditions:
- Heavy rain, fog, or glare from sunlight can impact performance.
Power Liftgate Not Opening
Make sure Lane Keep Assist is enabled:
- Go to Uconnect Settings > Safety & Driving Assistance > Lane Keep Assist.
- Clean the front windshield where the camera is located.
- Check lane markings – The system works best on well-defined road lines.
Parking Brake Won’t Release
- Check if the doors are unlocked.
- Try opening manually by pressing the handle.
- Hold the key fob button for a few seconds until the liftgate opens.
- Check for obstructions in the rear area that might block the sensor.
