Troubleshooting Infotainment System / Frozen Screen
- Hold the power and volume buttons for 10 seconds to restart Uconnect.
- Check Bluetooth settings if devices are not connecting.
- Verify that your phone is compatible with the system.
Bluetooth Not Connecting
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Delete the device from Uconnect and repair:
- Go to Device Manager > Manage Phones.
- Select your phone and tap Forget Device.
- Restart both your phone and Uconnect.
- Re-pair by selecting “Add Device” in Uconnect.
- Check if another device is interfering: Only one device can be connected at a time.
- Ensure software is updated: Check for updates on your phone and Uconnect.
- If issues persist, reset the Uconnect system:
- Hold the power and volume buttons for 10 seconds to reboot.
CarPlay / Android Auto Not Working
Wired Connection Troubleshooting:
- Ensure you are using an official or high-quality USB cable.
- Try a different USB port (some ports may be charge-only).
- Check if another device is connected and remove it.
- Restart your phone and the Uconnect system.
- Update your phone’s OS and Uconnect software.
Wireless Connection Troubleshooting:
- Ensure Bluetooth & Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone.
- Forget and re-pair the device in Uconnect settings.
- Check if another device is connected and remove it.
- Restart your phone and the car’s infotainment system.
Lane Keep Assist Not Functioning
- Ensure Lane Keep Assist is enabled:
- Press the Active Lane Management button above the Uconnect screen.
- Make sure the LED is OFF (ON means it’s disabled).
- Check if speed is above 37 mph (60 km/h) (Lane Keep Assist activates at this speed).
- Verify the lane markings are visible (it may not work in heavy rain, snow, or fog).
- Clean the front camera lens, as dirt or obstructions can interfere.
- Check Uconnect settings to ensure steering assist warnings are turned on.
Power Liftgate Not Opening
Check if the liftgate is manually locked:
- Open it manually and push it upward to its full open position.
- Check if the battery is low: A weak battery can prevent the liftgate from opening.
Reset the liftgate height setting:
- Manually pull down the liftgate to the desired height.
- Hold the liftgate close button for 3 seconds until a chime sounds.
Use the manual override if the power system fails:
- Access the service release feature with a 3 mm screwdriver inside the latch.
- Rotate the screwdriver handle to release the latch.
Parking Brake Won’t Release
- Ensure the vehicle is in ON/RUN mode before releasing the brake.
- Check if Auto Park Brake is enabled (disengages when you start driving):
- If not, press the parking brake switch down while pressing the brake pedal.
- Manually release the parking brake:
- Put foot on brake pedal, then press the EPB switch down momentarily.
- If the EPB fault light is on, there may be an issue with the system:
- Have it checked by a dealer.
