Connecting to Bluetooth
- Enable Bluetooth on Your Device: Ensure that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
- Access the Infotainment System: Turn on your Honda CR-V and navigate to the home screen of the infotainment system.
- Select 'Phone': Tap on the 'Phone' option on the screen.
- Add a New Device: Choose 'Connect New Device' or a similar option.
- Pair Your Device: On your phone, select your Honda CR-V from the list of available Bluetooth devices. Confirm any pairing codes that appear on both screens.
- Finalize Connection: Once paired, your phone's contacts and call history should sync with the vehicle's system.
Folding Back or Third Row Seats
- Access the Rear Seats: Open the rear doors of your Honda CR-V.
- Locate the Seat Release Levers: For the second-row seats, find the release levers located on the sides or back
Connecting to Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
Wired Connection:
1. Prepare Your Device: Ensure your smartphone is unlocked.
2. Connect via USB: Use a compatible USB cable to connect your phone to the USB port labeled with the smartphone icon in your CR-V.
3. Enable CarPlay/Android Auto: On the infotainment screen, a prompt will appear. Select 'Enable' or 'Always Enable' to allow the connection.
Wireless Connection (Available on Select Trims):
1. Bluetooth Pairing: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on.
2. Access Bluetooth Settings: On the CR-V's infotainment system, navigate to 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth/Wi-Fi'.
3. Pair Your Device: Select 'Add Bluetooth Device' and choose your phone from the list. Confirm any pairing prompts.
4. Enable Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto: After pairing, a prompt will appear to enable wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. Select 'Enable'.
Opening & Closing Trunk
Manual Operation:
1. Opening: Press the trunk release button located above the license plate or use the key fob.
2. Closing: Manually lower the trunk until it clicks securely.
Power Liftgate (if equipped):
1. Opening: Press the power liftgate button on the key fob or the dashboard.
2. Closing: Press the button located on the underside of the trunk lid to close automatically
Lane Keep Assist
1. Activate Honda SENSING: Ensure that the Honda SENSING system is turned on.
2. Enable Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): Press the LKAS button located on the steering wheel. The LKAS indicator will illuminate on the instrument panel, indicating that the system is active.
3. Center the Vehicle: Drive in the center of your lane. The LKAS uses a front sensor camera to detect lane markings.
4. Monitor Visual Alerts: If the system detects unintentional lane departure, it will provide visual alerts on the instrument panel.
5. Feel Steering Assistance: The system will provide gentle steering inputs to help keep the vehicle centered in the lane.
Cruise Control & Adaptive Cruise Control
1. Activate Cruise Control:
• Press the 'MAIN' button on the steering wheel to turn on the cruise control system. The 'CRUISE MAIN' indicator will appear on the instrument panel.
• Accelerate to your desired speed (above 40 km/h or 25 mph).
• Press the 'SET/-' button to set the speed. The 'CRUISE CONTROL' indicator will appear.
2. Activate Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC):
• With cruise control active, press the 'ACC' button on the steering wheel. The 'ACC' indicator will appear on the instrument panel.
• Use the 'SET/-' button to set your desired speed.
• Adjust the following distance using the distance setting button. The system will maintain the set speed and adjust to keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead
Parking Brake & Auto Hold
1. Engage the Electric Parking Brake:
o With the vehicle stopped, pull up the parking brake switch located on the center console. The parking brake indicator will illuminate, indicating that the parking brake is engaged.
2. Release the Electric Parking Brake:
o Press the brake pedal and push down the parking brake switch. The indicator will turn off, indicating that the parking brake is released.
3. Activate Auto Hold:
o Press the 'Auto Hold' button on the center console. The 'Auto Hold' indicator will illuminate on the instrument panel.
o When you come to a complete stop, the system will hold the brake pressure, allowing you to release the brake pedal.
o The brakes will remain engaged until you press the accelerator pedal.
Child Locks
1. Open the Rear Door: Open the door you wish to set the child lock on.
2. Locate the Child Lock Lever: It's typically positioned on the rear edge of the door, near the latch.
3. Engage the Child Lock: Move the lever to the 'Lock' position. This action disables the interior door handle, preventing it from opening the door.
4. Verify the Lock: Close the door and attempt to open it from the inside to ensure the child lock is active.
Manual Key Use (Emergency Unlocking)
1. Retrieve the Manual Key: Press the release button on your key fob to pull out the manual key.
2. Access the Driver's Door Lock: Locate the keyhole on the driver's door handle.
3. Unlock the Door: Insert the manual key into the keyhole and turn it to unlock the door manually.
Putting Air into Tires (Emergency)
1. Locate a Safe Area: Find a safe and level location away from traffic to inflate your tire.
2. Check Tire Pressure: Use a tire pressure gauge to measure the current pressure of the tire.
3. Find Recommended Pressure: Refer to the tire information label on the driver's doorjamb for the recommended cold tire pressures.
